The world of deejaying has gotten a lot of global attention lately – but, judging by most of the industry’s bold-faced names, it seems like a bit of a boys’ club.
Dreamt up by women, produced by women and performed by women, Phnom Penh’s first ever WONDER WOMEN FESTIVAL is happening at the capital’s epicenter of quality electronic music, Meta House.
The one-night-event (conceived by female filmmaker-cum-DJane Sao Sopheak / foto) will include sets by five of the Penh’s dopest female DJs.
Sopheak Sao (Cambodia), Mercy (Ghana), IzaBell (France) and Nora Haidee (Malaysia) and Banzai-Aya (Japan) will keep you dancing all night with pumping techno and house grooves.
Also performing: Cambodian Hip Hop MC Lisha of Klap-Ya-Handz fame and belly dancer Yasmine. Special drink offers for ladies!
