Phnom Penh’s only electro live acts and guest musicians join forces with international DJs at Meta House.
Cambodia’s only sonic-sorcerer and electro-alchemist LAFIDKI teams up with US saxophone player ANASTASIA SHEPHERD. She writes: My sax is 87 years old and she’s so beautiful that the repair shops never let me pay. Last summer I busked around Europe and played with an Algerian/Mexican acoustic group in Paris, and I’ve been in lots of strange bands with weird instrumentation and improvisational approaches in the US and Europe. And I’m looking forward to a crazy Lafidki jam, too.”
The expat sound collective ELECTRICK UNIVERSE (Tim King, James Speck and DJ Nicomatic) combines live phrase synthesizers and field recordings with recorded beats – this time mixed by German DJ ANTARO (Spiritzone).
