Kolen is part of Meki & Kolen. aka Olivier Méquignon and Luca Lener are two young producers from Lille (France), fans of electronic music and especially Techno. At an early stage music took an important place in their lives : Meki studying piano and composition , Kolen interesting for his part in guitar and drums.
Two trips, one in Dublin and the other in Sydney, enabled them to (re)discover the huge world of techno, its leading artists and its wild nights … They then returned to France laden with motivation. After their return , they decided to join their skills and begin production. In September 2013 , their victory of the DJ competition of the festival » Les Nuits Electriques » enabled them to make a first part on the famous scene « Aéronef Lille », sharing the festival poster alongside Rone , Jackson, or even Gramatik . They released in January 2014 their first title , « Metropolis », illustrated in a clip inspired by famous scenes from Fritz Lang’s movie. On top of that, the duo has recently founded OSMOZ, an association aimed at promoting Techno producers from Lille. That is achieved through big events organized by the two artists with famous international Djs such as Antigone, François X, Cabanne, Cleric, Electric rescue, etc.
