Our SoundCloud Page (https://soundcloud.com/phnom-penh-underground) continues to blaze the way for the DJ scene in Cambodia – we’re up to over 25,000 plays and 3500 downloads (and we’re getting over 1500 a month now) which is awesome for one of the smallest clubbing capitals in the world.

We’ve now got 106 amazing mixes from DJs active on the Cambodia scene, going all the way across the musical spectrum – from DnB to Techno, from House to HipHop and all points between.

We’ve had listeners from over 50 countries- from Finland to Portugal and Luxembourg to Slovakia (hello to all our listeners in The Bolivarian Republic of Venuzela!), which just shows the recognition that the Cambodian Underground scene (and it’s fantastic DJs) is getting from all over the world.

2015 has seen some really exceptional mixes from some very talented DJs that its been our privilege to host and share – so, without any further ado, here’s the Top 10 (based on number of plays, directly via our Soundcloud) for 2015!

1. It’s only fitting that our 100th mix should occupy the top spot! A genre-busting journey thru tunes selected by 24 of the countries top DJs, mixed to perfection by our very own DJ Sequence. This was a mix that epitomized our desire to represent every strand of underground music!

For the first of his 5(!) entries, he took us on an amazing trip thru the phunky sounds of House, Techno and beyond…

Sir Alan stepped up to the plate again with the 2nd volume of his Poolside Phnom Penh mix. As a well known pool-lover, he created the perfect soundtrack for lounging by the water, cocktail in hand

OK, I’m getting sick of writing his name now! Sir Alan went deep this time, dropping an immaculate selection of the deepest techno and electronica known to mankind packed full of exclusives from Gary Martins new album ” Escape from South Warren” on Motech records.

In the first of 2 consecutive entries, Phnom Penh Underground’s own DJ Sequence keeps the Jungle fires burning with a blazing selection of DnB delivered in breakneck style – 20 tunes in under 1 hour…Top DnB producer Makoto gave a like to this one!

And its DJ Sequence again…way back in January, delivering DnB past, present and future featuring classics from the likes of DJ Marky, LTJ Bukem, DJ Hybrid, Audio and many more!

Breaking the Ritchie grip on the charts, came our friend Moudy, who delivered a beautiful, techy mix which, as he puts it is the “Dream of a place between the dusk of a summer night and the dawn of a summer day.”

You can’t resist the inevitable! Its Sir Alan again with volume 1 of his Poolside Phnom Penh mix, packed full of chilled broken beat, ambient house, soul and a million other flavas, that’s perfect for those long afternoons by the pool – whether yr in Phnom Penh or Paris, Lombok or London, Tahiti or Timbuktu…..

Last in our chart – but certainly not least, its’s (surprise, surprise) Sir Alan Ritchie again, this time representing his 40 Thieves Collective with a mix that showcases their attitude of  being “dedicated and passionate about good music, good street art and good positive attitudes in the Cambodian music scene
