Top Ten Mixes September 2014
Our SoundCloud Page (https://soundcloud.com/phnom-penh-underground) continues to blaze the way for the DJ scene in Cambodia – we’re nearly up to 5000 listens (and almost 1000 in last month alone) which is amazing for one of the smallest clubbing capitals in the world.
We’ve now got 42 amazing mixes from DJs active on the Cambodia scene, going all the way across the musical spectrum – from DnB to Techno, from House to HipHop and all points between.
We’ve had listeners from over 50 countries- from Finland to Portugal and Luxembourg to Slovakia, which just shows the recognition that the Cambodian Underground scene (and it’s fantastic DJs) is getting from all over the world
So, without any further ado, here’s the Top 10 (based on number of plays) for September 2014!
1. The most popular mix of the month by a long long way was the awesome Full Moon Party mix by the excellent FunkElastiks!
2.Another incredibly popular mix (originally released in July) comes from Advisor “Best DJ” nominee, Alan Ritchie
3. Moving up the charts is well known House Terrorist, Lord Nick Chandler
4. A non mover at Number 4 – DJ Sequence represents with a mix for UB Radio
5. The 2nd of 3 in a row for Phnom Penh Underground founder DJ Sequence with another of his monthly shows on UB Radio
6. Here he is again, 3rd entry in a row from DnB Monster DJ Sequence!
7. And at number 7, one of our 2 guest mixes from Berlin underground label Trapped in, it’s this amazing offering from Mjutah
8.One of the most popular mixes we’ve ever had on the site is at number 8 – Mr Brown delivers some proper Techno
9. 4th entry from DJ Sequence comes in at Number 9, representing the DnB for UB Radio
10. Topping and tailing the chart is FunkElastiks with a classic mix from his residency at Pontoon Pulse
