The New Wave of Cambodian Clubbing continues with another awesome weekend last week. The Cuban Brothers played a riotous set at Code Red – looked like it was going to turn into a full blown orgy at some points (pictures here, courtesy of Kampuchea Party Republic)

DJ Per played 2 mesmerising sets down at Pontoon, whilst reports from the Kep Jungle Dance voted it as “the best ever

We also released the results of our “What do YOU want to hear in Phnom Penh clubs” poll, which showed some surprising results…

Ok, so lets have a look at this weekend – too many nights to mention here, so we’re going to concentrate on the one-off nights – for the full line-up with all the fantastic regular nights, check our events calendar


coates The highly respected Tim Coates makes his debut at Code Red on Friday – Tim has been one of the pioneers of House and Techno in Asia for the last 15 years and knows how to rock a party…Support comes from the excellent Alan Ritchie.
java gui One of our favourite Underground DJs, JavaTech, makes her debut at Pontoon Pulse for Berlin Sound. Expect the sounds of (you guessed it) the Berlin scene – funky, minimal techno/tech house for the mind, body and soul.
eugui Meanwhile, at a yet to be disclosed and unique venue somewhere deep underground (oooh the suspense!) Electronic Union will be supplying Beats, drinks and dancing courtesy of DJs Polaak, CAB, Warren Daly and The Phatt Controller.
vingui Finally, over at MetaHouse, Dr Wah-Wah brings you 100% vinyl sounds at Vinyl Mania. “There’s an entire generation out there who missed out on the pops and hisses of album listening“, so check out just about the only vinyl night in the whole of the Kingdom!


HIGH GUI Saturday is all about HighRise – Phnom Penh’s premier underground party on the amazing Rooftop Terrace of DUSK till DAWN. Playing the best in Drum&Bass / TechHouse / Electro / Breaks are DJ Sequence (Phnom Penh Underground), The Phatt Controller  & Alan Ritchie.
drumsgui Meanwhile, over in Siem Reap, The DRUMS Festival is the first event that brings together all the underground electronic scene of Siem Reap. 10 hours of electronic music, ranging from Chill-Out to Techno, through Ragga to Drum & Bass. An event worthy of your support!

drop gui Finally, over at MetaHouse, on the 14th, the mighty Drop Dead Disco returns! MainMan Simon C Vent has lined up a night of classic House and Garage, whilst on the big screen Zeeshan Haider’s mesmerising “Let Go” film will be making its official debut.
